Solo exhibition "Urban LIFE"

The opening of the solo exhibition Urban Life of Irina Ivanik will take place on January 2, 2019.

A solo exhibition of paintings by the Moscow artist Irina Ivanik took place on the art platform of Astakhov Cultural Center. It was dedicated to stories from the lives of people in a big city.

Every day we meet the city in a different mood and at different times: in the morning, we drink coffee at home, in the afternoon we go to work passing sunny streets, we walk along embankments and parks, meet our neighbors at the entrance in the evening. Sometimes we don’t even notice how we pass by the same houses, walk along familiar streets and don’t see what a beautiful city Moscow indeed.

The exhibition presents cityscapes of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as still lifes in the interiors. All works are performed in oil and continue traditions of the Russian realistic art school.

City landscapes, painted by the artist in the plein-air impact the mood, an unforgettable feeling of a familiar, native and beloved city. The stilllifes created in the studio and at home are pleasing to the eye with color solutions, ease of the subject and the atmosphere.

In the second hall, in addition to the main exposition, the viewer can return from “urban everyday life” to memories of summer and admire a series of Russian nature landscapes. The exhibition features paintings made in the plein-air in different cities of Russia - Moscow, Zvenigorod, Tarusa, Saratov.

In total, 20 paintings were selected for the exhibition.
